  5. REACHING OUT

This is a CRC Churches International church, begun in Hamilton in 1999, renamed from Hamilton Community Church in 2018 to Grace Fellowship. We have a long term lease on the Hamilton Train Station. Although we outgrew that premise as a congregation some years ago, we still use that facility for our No-Cost Cafe, youth and other mid-week activities.

In recent years we are thankful to be able to meet at the Good Shepherd High School Chapel on Sunday mornings. This facility is fantastic, providing functional room for all of our congregational activities, including Kids Church, room for kids to play outside, and space to enjoy a cuppa and a chat after the service!

Grace Fellowship has also purchased six acres of land on the edge of Hamilton, and we are working through the processes toward a future church build. Take a look at our plans under the “Building Project” tab!

Grace Fellowship’s Team

Pastors Rodger and Megan Garland are the Senior and Associate Pastors of Grace Fellowship. Rodger and Megan arrived in Hamilton in 2015 to pastor Grace Fellowship. Their prior timeline was meeting in Central Australia in the late 1990s, attending theological college in Sydney, then church planting in the Kimberley, WA, for ten years. They have three vibrant young adult children, who they love dearly.

Pastors Rodger and Megan also work bi-vocationally. Megan is a teacher and a counsellor, and Rodger, with various qualifications, is currently a fitness trainer.

Pastors Phil & Heather Baker are retired but very active Pastors in Grace Fellowship. Pastor Heather facilitates the No-Cost Cafe, and Pastor Phil oversees a large component of our children’s ministry. Each actively preaches, teaches and cares pastorally.

Jamie Walker is Grace Fellowship’s Elder. He is married to Ursula, father to three young ladies, and a full-time carer within his own family. Jamie is currently undertaking theological studies and is an active intern in the church.
