Grace Fellowship is located in Hamilton, a town of 10,000 people, situated in the beautiful Southern Grampians Shire of Western Victoria. Hamilton has long been a central hub lending its strength to nearby towns at all points of the compass. Similarly, Grace Fellowship is a faith community lending the strength of Jesus Christ to Hamilton and surrounding regions.
Our name, Grace Fellowship, begins to describe our church. We chose the word Grace because it gives first place to God, and specifically God in Jesus Christ. When we receive His grace, it saves us eternally and enriches our daily lives. And when shared, God’s grace flows through us to others so that they may have the same opportunity.
We chose the word Fellowship because it describes relationship. As the kingdom of God best expands along the lines of meaningful relationship, the vehicle for most of our being and doing as a church is relational. So, our teamwork, our smaller group activities, our care and outreach, is relational, first in Jesus toward God, and then with God’s heart toward each other.
Beyond our name 3 other words are very important to us at Grace Fellowship. While no single scripture could fully describe these, an example follows each:
“For God’s word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our paths’ (Ps 119:105)
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. (Phil 4:6)
“For the gift of the Spirit is given to each one for the benefit of all (1 Cor 12:7)
Grace Fellowship is a registered church of CRC Churches International, an Australian Pentecostal movement of Christian churches.
We welcome you whether you are a seasoned Christian, a new believer, or a person yet to be convinced of the truth of God in Christ Jesus. At Grace Fellowship a seasoned Christian will find opportunity to worship and worthy challenges; a new Christian a good grounding in faith and fellowship; and a curious seeker a place to explore the expansive territory of our Creator God.
In His passion,
Pastor Rodger Garland
